Notes | Defined by Hawken, Lovins and Lovins (1999, p. 151) as: “…the sum total of the ecological systems [including life itself] that support life, different from human-made capital in that natural capital cannot be produced by human activity.” It is the stock of environmental resources on earth that yields the flow of natural resource goods and ecosystem services. |
